Always create a blog with a .com in your own domain. You can easily get a domain very cheap at Namecheap or even Hostgator.

One more thing to take note is to always add new content into you blogs. If possible, do it every day. If not, at least one post in every three days to keep you blog always updated so that you blog can be easily picked up by Google.

You just have to do it and there is nothing in this world that can be done without making mistakes first.
