I have a friend who is recently having some health problems and would not listen to my advice. I am in the health industry because of the network marketing company that I am in. So, she end up visiting the doctor in a clinic and the first advice that the doctor gave her was the same advice that I gave her. That was to drink more water. The second advice that the doctor gave her was to not only too much bread. Strangely, I also told her that. However, she just never wanted to take action and change small things in her lifestyle.

My point is, I have been talking to many people or prospects asking them what are the thing that they want to do or want? I think people all know what they want; they want a better life for them, for their family.  But many do not have the guts to admit that they want it because they just think it is out of their reach.

So, we should not wait for anything. We should take action and do something to get to what is the thing that we eventually want. Say if you want to lose weight, you need o start doing something. Maybe take on a healthier diet, start an exercise routine and you need to do it consistently. Nothing comes just liked that.

It’s the same if we want to make more money, we must invest our time in knowledge or skills that we need to achieve what we aim for. If we need to learn, public speaking, we need to overcome the fear of standing on the stage.

So, for this new year (it’s still January), go ahead and take action, learn something, do something, whatever. Do not wait anymore!!!

For me, I use it to keep in touch with my friends and also use it to communicate with business partners. But I decided to write this article because there was this guy who added me in skype and directly gave me a website telling me that this is a one of a kind opportunity that I should take a look at.

This is a huge mistake that many people make. Starting of a conversation with a website? It is a little desperate for my taste. We must always start a conversation by saying hello and asking if it’s okay to chat or speak to that person first. That person might be business or whatever, you might never know.

If you are building a network marketing business, this is very important because this business really depend on the human touch or relationship. One bad move can ruin your motive. Even though you might be a good person but starting conversation by saying “hi… this is an incredible opportunity, take look at this website www…..” is not really a good idea.

So, if you made this kind of mistakes before, no sweat, we all learn from mistakes. It is okay to add strangers into your contact list but always say hello or introduce yourself before you jump ahead and offer them your “incredible opportunity”

1. Don’t stop sponsoring. We have made mistakes but have not been afraid of that.

2. Lead beyond your level. ACT, think and do what a LEADER would do long before you get there.

3. Have loyalty to your team and your team knows will have your back.

4. Don’t be afraid of doing it wrong. People emerge as leaders because they make mistakes and it is because they make mistake, they rise because of the mistake.

5. Realize that what we offer is something that people want. It is up to us to present it to them in a way so that they will think about it.

6. Be confident. people will only join you if they know that you are going to do it. People don’t want to be left alone.

7. You can succeed without knowing everything there is to know about this business. Not everyone comes with experience. We can all learn together.

We can easily smile when in favourable  circumstances and never burst into a big laughter when in adversity. Why should’t we laugh more? In my opinion, we should laugh even in adversity. Laughing is one great exercise and it is effortless. Besides, a laugh is better than a dull face.

So, whenever you face a problem, don’t frown or be disappointed, just keep on smiling and laughing when you confront your problems. Keep you mindset positive.

But then, there are also people who was not affected by the downturn. On the other hand, getting better results and achieving bigger goals. One of that kind of person that i know is my boss, friend and mentor Mr Rui Ludovino. Ever since i knew him, he was doing great things and he is really a symbol of success.

Although i might not have achieve big things in 2009, it is still a great year because people like Rui Ludovino is always there to remind us that freedom is definitely achievable.

Here are some tips that I read on a newspaper recently and I feel it is very useful to help anyone out there who is having this problem. There are a few reasons that cause this phobia and one of it is the felling of fear of being judged, lack of confidence and so on. Most of the times, visualizing the crowd and practicing in front of a mirror still do not prepare you thoroughly.

So, to be able to overcome this public speaking phobia, you must develop confidence within yourself. The surer you are about yourself, the less fear and hesitation you will show when you speak. You just have to remember yourself that you have something you share and it doesn’t matter if you are shaking or stammering. If you really do stammer or show that you are nervous, don’t make a big deal about it and carry on.

You must also release your tension before doing your speech. Different people release their tension differently. Some examples are like taking a deep breath, press against the wall and self-talk. Drinking excessive caffeine is not recommended because you do not want to be in a state where you need the bathroom. So, try to take your mind off the task at hand and put yourself in a physiological position where the audience is nothing to be feared off.

One step which I thing is the most important is to do your research. It is important to know what you are talking about because it gives you more confidence. Before your speaking day, go through points organized. Know your materials if you are using any.

The last tip is the magic tip which is to practice, practice and practice. You will become better with more practice. As the saying goes, practice makes perfect.
