A blog is a great way to have your content out onto the internet but your work will go to waste if you do not do the necessary steps to market your blog.

The first tip is to always promote your blog post. A post is simply like an article; therefore, you can promote it like you are doing article marketing.  No traffic will come to your blog if you do not promote it.  So, tell everyone about your blog post or add your post into forums or social media sites.

The second tip is to build your list of subscribers. If you are into making money online, I am sure that you have heard of the phrase ‘the money is in the list’.  You can do this by including a capture form in your blog where visitors can leave their details. This can be easily done with email marketing programs like Aweber and GetResponse. These 2 are the leading companies out there today. With you list, you can communicate with your subscribers with more efficiency.

The third tip will be setting up a set of keywords for you post. Whatever you write on your blog should have a purpose and these purposes are represented by the keywords. Keywords should appear in your post title and also in the text body. Research on the types of keywords you want to use so that you cn get better ranking in the search engines.

Tip number 4 is to post frequently in your blog. This is important so that you can keep the search engine updated with new content frequently. On the other hand, posting frequently does take some time and effort. The best would be a post every day or 3 post per week.

So, the key here is to be consistent in your work and that is what life is all about. We can’t just build a blog and does nothing then start complaining that blogging does not work. Successful people are successful because they do things consistently. So, go ahead and try this out.
